The Wyoming Wind Works Stinger 45 is a great all-around slope soaring glider. It was originally designed for small hill and light lift dynamic soaring, but it has proven to be a great flyer in a variety of conditions. It's fast, responsive, tracks very well, and tough.
The kit comes in 3 forms: a Short Kit (foam wing cores, pre-painted fuse, canopy, and boom only), a Builders Kit (all the goodies, but needs to be bagged or pressed), and the Full Kit (pre-bagged wing with shaped LE and tips, and fiberglass bagged tail). The fuse lay-up is a mix of fiberglass and carbon fiber and the parts are painted in the mold. 2.4 GHz fuses are available upon request. The wing in the Builders Kit and the Full kit utilizes 1/64" 3 layer ply wing skins with internally capped ailerons, and kevlar hinges. It come fully equipped with fiberglass canopy, servo covers, and a complete video that demonstrates the entire bagging process. The Builders Kit would make a great first project for those wanting to learn how to vacuum bag.
