What is the "New Stuff"?
"New Stuff" is an covering material for EPP foam that is more durable, faster building, cheaper, and more rigid than the standard covering method.  Using the "New Stuff" on the Slope Monkey wing yields an incredibly strong, stiff, and light structure.  With the "New Stuff", absolutely no tape or spray adhesive is necessary on the wing.  This process was developed by "Predator" of predatorwings.com

What Are the Drawbacks?
Unfortunately, the "New Stuff" is clear and difficult to color.  Light coats of spray paint can be applied directly onto the EPP foam, or accent colors can be added using thin sign vinyl.  Also, the "New Stuff" doesn't like to go around compound curves.  Many small relief cuts need to be made to negotiate things like wing tips.

Recommendations For The "New Stuff" and the Slope Monkey
We recommend using the "5mil Light" for those wanting the lightest possible Slope Monkey.  Most people are able to build their Slope Monkey in the 9.5 oz. to 10 oz. using this material.  The "10mil Heavy" is for those whose want maximum durabiliy and strength.  We recommend using traditional covering film on the tail parts.  For the fuse, we recommend using the "Gooped" method.  The "Gooped" method starts by covering the fuse with bi-directional strapping tape explained in the instruction manual.  Once the wing is glued on, the fuse is covered with multiple coats of Household Goop™ thinned with Toulene.  The "Goop" can be tinted by spraying spray paint into the mix.  Usually 4 to 6 coats of thinned "goop" is sufficient.  Follow all warnings on the Goop tube.
